After his passing, family and friends of Jimmy Pemberton Jr. created the
James E. Pemberton Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Jimmy was a life long resident of Ocean Township. He was a 1999 graduate of the Ocean Township High School, where he played Defensive End for the Ocean Township Spartans Football team.
Jimmy was also an active member of the Wanamassa Fire Company and First-Aid Squad, serving as 2nd Asst. Fire Chief in 2006 at the time of his passing at the age of 26.
Each year, the Scholarship Fund committee awards two Ocean Township High School students an athletic scholarship toward higher education.
